SELF-GUIDED INDIVIDUAL & FAMILY MUSEUM EXPERIENCES
The Museum is open to the public during regular hours and admission is FREE. Anyone is welcome to stop by to view the collection and Gallery Guides are available at the front desk.A self-guided visit is also a great way for families with children of all ages to explore the collection. Families can guide children through the museum using a variety of activities that we have available at the front desk such as scavenger hunts for the younger children and more in depth Young Viewer Guides for older children. (If you are a group of 10 or more please see our Group Tour options, below.)
REGULARLY SCHEDULED PUBLIC TOURS
The Museum offers regularly scheduled Docent-guided tours every Tuesday and Saturday at 2:00. Our regularly scheduled tours are FREE and open to the general public without reservations.SELF-GUIDED GROUP TOURS
While anyone is welcome to pick up a Gallery Guide and view the collection, and admission is always FREE, we require that groups of 10 or more people make advanced reservations, which will ensure accessibility to gallery spaces. Currently, our maximum group capacity is 50 people. Docent-guided tours can be scheduled for your group of 10 to 50 people. All guided tours are approximately one hour. Requests for a Guided Tour must be placed at least three weeks in advance so that a tour can be tailored for your group. The Sid Richardson Museum houses a studio classroom where tour groups, kindergarden throught 12 grade, can experience hands-on activities aligned with Docent-guided tours.- Studio activities are an enjoyable way for students or children to make connections with gallery tours as they use higher level thinking skills and practice creative expression with authentic mediums and techniques.
