Museum Policies | The following policies are in place to protect the artwork and ensure that everyone has an enjoyable visit

  • Photography for personal use is permitted. Flash photography, monopods, tripods, selfie sticks and video cameras are not permitted.
  • Please turn off cell phones and pagers while in the museum or lobby.
  • As a courtesy to our other guests, we ask that you use your "Museum Voice," speaking softly to avoid disturbing others.
  • For the comfort of our visitors and the protection of the art, we are a non-smoking facility. Smokers are invited to use the courtyard on the north side of the building.
  • Due to the acidic nature of human body oils, works of art may not be touched.
  • Children should not be carried on visitors backs or shoulders, and we ask parents to keep a close eye on little ones to prevent any damage.
  • Strollers are permitted, however they must be under the control of an adult at all times.
  • Pets are not permitted at any time, with the exception of Guide Dogs, which are always welcome.
  • Weapons are never permitted in the Museum.
  • All Museum visitors are required to wear shirts and shoes.
  • Food and beverages, packages, backpacks, and briefcases must be left at the front desk while you are visiting the Museum. Please place all umbrellas in the umbrella stand. Space is provided next to the water fountain for hanging coats and hats.

Parking | Bring your parking ticket for free validation

Validated parking is available in all of the Sundance Square parking garages.

Sundance Garage I is located at 201 Commerce, immediately north of 2nd Street. Sundance Garage II is located in the 400 block of Calhoun Street.

Free weekday valet parking is available on the west side of Main Street at 3rd Street.  Please bring your claim ticket to the Museum for validation.

Tours | FREE docent-guided tours every Tuesday & Saturday at 2:00PM

The Museum offers free Guided Tours and Self-Guided Tours which can be scheduled for groups of up to 50 people.

Schedule a visit to the Studio Classroom to experience hands-on activities aligned with docent-guided tours. Studio Activities can be added to docent-guided tour for young adult groups, kindergarden to 12th grade.

School Tours can be scheduled to complement classroom curriculum.

Commercial Tour Companies can schedule guided and self-guided tours.

The Museum offers a variety of events that are designed to enhance the experience and understanding of our patrons.

Adult Programs include lectures, movies, workshops, discussion groups and more.
